Dr. Monarchy, is actually a character taken from a film by Stanley Kubrick. I dont wanna ruin it. I was trying to find a personage for this particular painting,Which just happens to be about the MK Ultra/Monarch butterfly program. When I discovered the face, I couldnt stop laughing. It literally brought joy to me while working on it and after. I wanted to incorporate this character into the idea of the monarch painting, just to keep it light. As for the name Monarchy, well let's just say that the Queen herself has some conspiracies surrounding her as well. (Queen of England). More on that later. As for the Monarch program, it simply was a way of splitting the personalities of celebrities or regular folks into multiple personalities, in order to use them for other purposes that the person would otherwise be unaware of. For me this character has broken the programming and is seeing the light.
Dr. Monarchy, or how I learned to live in America.
New works that explore the conspiracy as a modern mythology. By incorporating the use of Icons, language, history and religion, The series will bring about, through the visual medium our current belief systems within sub and counter cultures. All works are acrylic and mixed media.
JFK, is considered to me to be the beginning of the conspiracy. His assassination is something that is still unanswered by most accounts, and still secretly pursued by some. Since I first caught light of this story growing up, I myself have been fascinated by the idea that he was assassinated by our very own government( and their cover up as well). I have heard many theories from others like myself, from the haberdashers to the anti greenbackers, to the russians to the mob, to aliens, to the driver. For myself, I am interested in all of these tales, and being born in the last quarter of the last century has stirred in me a hunger to find out the truth.
The Fool(on the hill), is well about Paul Mccartney. Or Faul Mccartney, and the conspiracy to replace either a dead Paul, or removed Paul from the Beatles, with a man know as Billy Shears. It's a very long story, and if you are as interested in it as I am, look for it. Blows my mind every time I think about it. Oh Tavistock.....
Please- Stand-Buy, is about the way media bombards us with a way of living, and takes now responsibility for their omnipresence. I remember when there was only one television in my parents home growing up. Today, we walk around with tv's in our hands.
