So, at it again this year, are the wonderful people at Astoria Art Festival. So if you are interested in seeing an assortment of artists fill all of the wonderful spaces that are scattered over the Astorian plains, you have to come out this week to see this. It's their fourth year, and I have had the luxury of being a part of this exciting event over the years that always brings together a bunch of fun, eclectic, and eccentric artists, musicians, fans, collaborators, while turning participating restaurants and bars into galleries. What more can you ask? You don't think about this, but art+food+people=new vision. With all of the ongoings in the artworld, these guys take the arts and bring it right to your doorstep.

But wait theres more. The venues. the Venues. THE VENUES!!!!!!!!! You think the city has great food? Queens has been voted countless times, again and again, for their great cuisine. Not just the international flavors, but also the subtle ways they are creating new dishes and evolving food as an artform as well. So come down to any of these places before, during, and after the festival and eat, drink, and visually take in art in all its many mediums. I will be writing more in depth as the week progresses.
